About Us

Pure MDRN™ is a San Francisco-based lighting studio creating modern, minimalist designs inspired by mid-century and architectural forms. Our work focuses on calm geometry, warm ambient light, and sculptural presence - lighting designed to live quietly and intentionally within a space.

Each piece is designed and made to order in our studio, using a thoughtful, small-batch approach that prioritizes precision and material efficiency. We work with plant-based PLA, a durable bioplastic derived from renewable resources, chosen for its low-waste properties and refined surface quality.

Rather than designing for trends, Pure MDRN creates lighting meant to feel considered and enduring - objects defined by restraint, warmth, and clarity of form.

Designed & Made in San Francisco

Every Pure MDRN piece is designed and made in-house at our San Francisco studio. From concept to final print, we craft each item with care — combining modern design principles with sustainable, small-batch production.

Sustainable Materials

We 3D print using PLA and PETG — two materials known for their low environmental impact. PLA is a biodegradable bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch, while PETG is a durable, fully recyclable plastic. Together, they allow us to create with intention and reduce waste without compromising on quality or design.

Founder & Designer

Pure MDRN was founded by Iliya, whose nearly 15 years of experience in interior and product design have shaped a deep appreciation for thoughtful, modern living. He co-founded two interior decor brands with reach spanning from Europe to Asia and participated in major design trade shows across Europe. With a hands-on approach and a love for the creative process, Iliya brings each Pure MDRN™ piece to life — from concept to final form — creating objects that have personality and become the focal point of any space.
